FAQ

Got a question? You're probably not the only one! Check out some of the common questions below.

"Can I update the site myself?"

We usually build our sites using the Silverstripe CMS (Content Management System). This allows you to log in, edit text and images. It even allows you to add and remove pages. We'll give you complete access to the site files if you need. However we recommend for 'template' design changes, or changes to the 'advanced stuff', you get back in touch with us.

We also offer Silverstripe training. When your site goes live, we can give you an introductory lesson in how to manage the site.

"How long will it take?"

After an inital chat, we will present you with a selection of design options. We then take your comments on-board and build the site. A site could be built in 2-3 days, but we usually see sites taking between 2-4 weeks - this takes into account time for the client to give feedback and come up with the content for the pages.

"Who writes the content?"

Ideally you! You know more about your stuff than anyone else. However, we'll help you - and we can put you in touch with a professional copy writer if required.

"Who provides the photos?"

Good images can make the different between a great site and an ok looking one. We can help, either by taking photographs, or sourcing from stock photo suppliers such as iStockphoto and Dreamstime.

"Can you get me to number one in google?"

Maybe, but SEO (search engine optimization) is a dark art, and anyone offering guarantees is basically lying. We do build all our sites to a high standard, and our sites do tend to show up in search results quite well. The best solution is to always build your sites for the human viewer - if users like it, they will tell their friends, link to it in their blog, 'like' it on facebook - and this is what ends up getting you a good search position.

SEO is linked in strongly with Marketting. People will not findĀ  your site unless you tell them about it. We can help you plan a marketting strategy, with email newsletters, social media, and advertising campaigns.
